Welcome To Tiny Tot  Early Years Centres

Promote your child’s self-esteem and education with the help of Tiny Tot Early Years Centres. We have four separate child care centres located in Charlottetown and Summerside, PE. Our Early Years programs are inclusive for all children from infants to pre-kindergarten.

You can enter your child into full-time or part-time*. With an emphasis on parent/educator communication, we encourage your input and welcome you to take part in activities and meetings, and consider being a member of our Parent Advisory Community.

We have  three locations in Charlottetown and one in Summerside.

* Part time availability is for age 3 years and up.

Community Activities & Nutrition

Tiny Tot Early Years Centres work with other community professionals to allow children to explore activities outside the centres.
We schedule field trips and excursions to help children learn both inside and outside the classroom environment.
An emphasis is also placed on healthy eating habits. All of our lunches and snacks follow Canada’s Food Guide and Healthy Eating Alliance.

Fully Certified Child Care Services in Prince Edward Island

At our Early Years Centres,  our educators are certified with diplomas in Early Childhood Education.
Our support staff have certificates in Early Childhood and/or a diploma in Human Services. 

All staff are required to have First Aid and CPR, WHMIS, Food Sanitation Courses, and also require Vulnerable Criminal Checks.

All locations are equiped with AED machines.

Our staff continue to learn the newest and up-to-date programs to provide the safest and most nurturing child care through ongoing education.

Nutritionally Good Meals

Full/Part-Time Services

Our programs are flexible. You can choose from full-time and part-time (3 years and up if days requested are available).   We want to make sure your child feels welcome at our centre and we will try to meet your individual needs whenever possible.

We became a Tiny Tot family in the summer of 2016 when our oldest was preparing for the Pre-K program. When a spot became available for our next child to enter the Toddler Room, we jumped at the chance! From the very first day, we have felt nothing but welcomed into the center. Each and every educator is genuinely invested in the growth and development  of our children. The staff at Tiny Tots become invested in their families. They know them. They appreciate them and they work incredibly hard to ensure each child is recognized for their individual specialness.  We now have our youngest in the Baby Room, our middle in the Pre-K program and our oldest attending the before and after school activities. We have interaction with almost every person on staff on a daily basis. Each one knows us by name, they know our children and know our routines. “Our oldest began Tiny Tot on Pope Avenue in the Spring of 2015 when he was 2.5 years old. We knew he was ready for a more structured learning environment than his day home at the time could offer however we were nervous to transition him to a daycare center. That hesitation was put at ease during our initial visit to view the center when we met several of the staff and witnessed them interacting with the children who attended and we knew we were making the right decision to send our son to Tiny Tot. The love that the Tiny Tot staff have for the children they work with is evident in every encounter we as parents have had with the staff and every interaction we have observed between them and the children they work with. Staff celebrate the successes and milestones our children meet from potty training to mastering the alphabet and are always excited to share these successes with us. From stories of the funny things they said or did that day to pictures and videos capturing their latest field trip, as parents who cannot be with our children throughout the day to experience these things, we feel very connected and for that we are thankful. “My son has been with Tiny Tot since he was an infant and still attends before and after school program.As you finish your maternity leave and have to leave your most precious thing in your life with strangers!
You go back to work and worry that the staff is taking care of your son like you do (these were my thoughts). I observed each and every day that they were certainly taking amazing care of him. As he grew with this wonderful Daycare I could see how great the teachers were with him and how much he loved attending. As he grew and started talking he would share great stories about his day. The teachers were fantastic to keep you updated on things that happened during the day, made a phone call if your child was sick, and kept journals on the growth of your child. He has spent a lot of time with them over the past 5 years. You know that your son loves where he goes when its birthday time and teachers names are on the list! As a single parent I did struggle some days with questions on how do I do this and I always had a seat in Pam’s office while she helped me get through the bad days. Tiny Tot has been a

” My daughter has been a part of the Rainbow family for a little over a year now and it has been a wonderful experience for us. I love that she is able to interact with the different staff members and that she has built a relationship with each of them.
