Nutrition and community activities

Community Activities & Nutrition

Tiny Tot Early Years Centres work with other community professionals to allow children to explore activities outside the centres. We schedule field trips and excursions to help children learn both inside and outside the classroom environment.

Proper nutrition for your child is important to us. We provide healthy, balanced meals and snacks that fuel growing minds and bodies.

Our Services

What We Offer

🍼 Infant Program

Our infant program provides children opportunities to experience a variety of music, art, literacy, sensory play, and physical activities both indoors and outdoors. Through these experiences as well as a safe and secure environment, positive relationships form between children and educators.

Families receive documentation (photos, videos, art displays, portfolios) and a journal highlighting all activities and special details (naptime, toileting, baby’s firsts, etc.).

👶 Toddler Program

We foster toddlers’ curiosity through music, dance, art, literacy, sensory play, and physical activities. Educators support children in developing toilet independence and self-help skills.

Families receive documentation of activities and a journal highlighting special details of the day (toilet training, naptime, eating habits, etc.).

🎨 Preschool Program

Hands-on learning engages three-year-olds in sensory play, outdoor learning, and fine motor skill development. Children explore dance, yoga, running, climbing, imaginative play, and social interactions.

Families receive documentation of activities indoors, outdoors, and on field trips.

📚 Pre-Kindergarten Program

Pre-K supports independence, problem-solving, emotional development, and social skills. Children participate in community integration through field trips, events, and guest speakers.

Families receive documentation of all activities, both indoors, outdoors, and on field trips.

Georgia Driscoll

Georgia Driscoll – Director of Rainbow Early Years (Summerside)

I’m Georgia Driscoll and I’m the Director at Rainbow Early Years. I am passionate about developmentally appropriate practices, emotional regulation, inclusion, and early music education. I was born in Bath, England; raised in Geneva, Switzerland; and spent my teenage years in Fall River, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Acadia University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music Therapy and moved to the Island that same year. I worked as a music therapist for several years and began my ECE career at Island Montessori Academy, as a special needs assistant. I attained my Level 3 certification through Holland College’s Accelerated Program. Life soon moved us up west, and I worked at Yuill Learn and Grow Daycare before becoming the Director here at Rainbow. Outside of work, I sing with Luminos Ensemble, teach private music lessons, and coach horseback riding. My spare time is spent with my horse Mya, cuddling with our two cats Trooper and Arya, and going for adventures with our dog, Cito. I also value spending time with my soon-to-be husband, James, and our friends and family.
